Icon of the Seas by Royal Caribbean: Review

An Honest Review of the Icon of the Seas Cruise Ship

The Icon of the Seas is as of April 2024, when I am writing this, the world's largest cruise ship.  It is a new class of cruise ship from Royal Caribbean Cruise lines known as the Icon Class of Ships.  It is just 10 feet bigger than the second largest ship in the world the Wonder of the Seas, has 2 more passenger decks and it's just fifteen thousand tons bigger.  If you have been on the Wonder or an Oasis class of ship, this feels very similar.  They have changed the exterior look of the ship a great deal and the new design allows you to get to the front of the ship and have 360 degree views.  They also added a few neighborhoods like Surfside and the Aquadome to the Icon of the Seas.  If you are curious about the size of the ship, you can watch my tiktok here.

The Icon of the Seas was substantially more expensive than the Wonder of the Seas.  It was the most expensive cruise we have ever taken and we were lucky to get a discounted cruise fare.  Was it worth it?  Read on and find out.  Curious what it cost us?  I recorded a TikTok with the basic cost of the cruise.  You can view that here.  As most of you know this did not include things like our excursions, drinks, specialty dining, Crown's Edge, or purchases.  Those things added up too!

The ship itself was phenomenal.
