Jupiter Beach Florida Itinerary
Where to Stay?
After a great deal of research, we decided to stay at the Jupiter Beach Resort and Spa. It was part of the Opal Collection and we have previously had a great stay at the Opal Collection property in Clearwater Beach. This property was right on the beach and we had a Two Queens - Partial Ocean View Room. The picture on the left was taken from our room.
The room was Beach Chic decor and it was immaculately clean. The beds, sheets, and pillows were all comfortable allowing the 4 of us to sleep well. The room had a wireless charging pad and plenty of USB and outlets for all of our devices. There was also a table and chairs in the room as well as a fairly large TV with cable. It was relaxing to wake up and sit on the porch listening to the crashing waves.
They have beach chairs overlooking the sand and ocean. This was a great spot to sunbathe and read while enjoying the beach without getting sandy. They had drink and food service that came by routinely. The pina coladas were sweet but not too sweet and the mojitos were a little on the salty side. The food was also good, we enjoyed the coconut shrimp and the kids had chicken tenders. They have a small store with hot and iced coffees, danishes, pastries, and snacks. This store was perfect for grabbing a quick breakfast before hitting the beach. The prices were in line with Starbucks.
During your visit, check out Latitudes, their seaside restaurant. We visited twice during our stay. The food was tastefully prepared, the desserts were delish and the drinks were hand-crafted. My favorite thing was the banana foster dessert and I enjoyed every drink I tried.
If you are planning to stay here check out their offers page. We found an offer where our valet parking was covered. If you drive an electric vehicle, you will be pleasantly surprised: They had four working electric vehicle charging stations across from the valet. The valet drivers were happy to park our car in those spots.
Things to do in Jupiter Florida:
The Blowing Rock Preserve
The Blowing Rock Preserve was about 15 minutes from the hotel. There is a fully canopied walkway of mangroves on your walk to the Blowing Rock. The walk is great for pictures as is the Blowing Rocks themselves. Across the street is a museum and two small hikes that take you to the water's edge. As you walk around the grounds and trees, look around; we found small crabs on the trees and ground.
Jupiter
Lighthouse
The Jupiter Lighthouse is within 10 minutes of the Blowing Rock Preserve. There is a large parking lot for the light house. We were confused because there was also a small one with no parking. The small one is great for walking down to the Cato Bridge was has beautiful teal water.
Peanut Island
We took the Peanut Island Shuttle Boat and arrived late afternoon. The boats run until 5 pm so be mindful of time while you are on the island. We rented our snorkel gear from the shuttle boat company. They did not have chairs for rent but we found a bench on the island that we used for home-base. There is a lagoon that has rocks all around it where we snorkeled. There were all sorts of fish and hermit crabs in shoulder-high water. I highly recommend Peanut Island. There is a boardwalk all around the island with plenty of places to explore. They also allow overnight camping.
Must-Try Restaurant:
- Blue Pointe Bar and Grill
We had several recommendations to check out Tiki 52 Bar and Grill for dinner. This place must be good because it was shoulder-to-shoulder packed. People were standing while eating their food. I like to enjoy my meals and eat by the ocean as often as I can. We left and went to Blue Pointe Bar and Grill instead. It had a relaxing atmosphere with a view of the ocean, a pool, and live music. The bacon-wrapped scallops were perfectly cooked and their rum bucket was tasty. They had plenty of room for our party of 8 in the shade. After dinner, we finished our drinks and watched the boats go by.

2. U-Tiki
U-tiki Beach has a fabulous location right next to Jetty's. It has a laid-back vibe with gorgeous views of the nearby islands and Jupiter Lighthouse. We could see fish in the water while we waited for a table. There was plenty of boat parking too. The sushi was decent and it was a big serving. I could not finish it.
