Nashville Weekend Trip with Kids

This summer I decided to meet a friend in Nashville and bring my daughter.  This was my little one and I's first time flying without the rest of the family together and it was an uneventful flight.  I paid for the flight and accommodation with points and was happy with the points redemption.  Our hotel was top-notch in a great location,

This article is about what we did and how we did it on points. First we flew via Southwest Airlines using our companion pass and miles.  The flight itself cost us $11 round trip plus $50 for both of us to have Early Bird Checkin.  Next, I looked for hotels near the very active Nashville downtown.  We used Hyatt points to stay at the Holston House.  It was a quick one-night trip with 23,000 points for that with no other fees!  In total, for one night stay and two flights, we paid $61 out of pocket plus miles and points.

Where did we stay?

The Holston House Nashville is a boutique hotel with a fantastic location.  The hotel is currently $526 per night so I see this as an amazing point redemption.  The property was a mixture of hold meets new.  It had a great rooftop pool with a bar or lounge.  There was also a great place to eat downstairs.  Lastly, it was steps from the city's live music.

What did we do while we were there?

Miranda Lambert's was my favorite bar.
