What is Fractional Product Management?

A fractional product manager is fully integrated with the team and typically does not have an end date to their role.  They may have other engagements but their teams would not notice it as they are a part of the team.

A Fractional product manager is in its simplest form a part-time product manager.  Companies sometimes call this an interim role but there is a difference as interim roles are typically full-time and have an ending.  Fractional roles tend to be leadership roles such as Chief Product Officer (CPO), Vice President of Product, or Head of Product and help guide the company to determine "what to build".  

Fractional product leadership is a consulting service that allows seasoned product leaders and managers to fill roles within an organization with the goal of building great products. 

What does a Fractional Product Leader do from day to day?
